- Quickly fold half of the cake flour into the yolk mixture; repeat with remaining flour and whites. Pour batter into prepared cake pan, spread evenly, tap lightly against countertop to release any air bubbles, and bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown top springs back when touched lightly with finger tip. Allow to cool completely in pan or turn out onto deep rimmed serving platter (if using).
